The plan of Knossos Palace is used as a starting point to explore the process of knowledge, as is registered to architectural space. Knowledge may be compared to the experience of the labyrinth, whereby any meaning towards the exit is an absolutely mental construction. The parts of the labyrinth may acquire different significance according to the path the visitor may take. Each part is read as an autonomous unit theme having its inner syntax and structure. Any effort to conceive the total may only be unfulfilled. The perceptive understanding of each part and of their possible associations create unique variations of the acquired knowledge.
